Plain ‘Cookies’ great to eat with soup, stew or eggs
Ingredients
- 250g Plain Flour, sifted
- 1 tbsp Baking Powder
- ½ tsp Sea Salt
- 115g Cold Unsalted Butter, cut into small cubes
- 240ml Cold Whole Milk
Method
- Preheat your oven 220°C (200°C fan/Gas 7).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Use your fingertips to rub the cold butter into the flour until it looks like coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the cold milk. Stir just until the flour is moistened. Do not overmix. The dough should be sticky.
- Use a large spoon or an ice cream scoop to drop mounds of dough onto the prepared tray, spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until the tops are golden brown.

- Yields approximately 8 to 10 biscuits
