Lowney’s – Molasses Candy

Ingredients

  • 2 cups molasses (480ml)
  • 2 cups brown sugar (approx. 400g)
  • ⅓ cup vinegar (80ml)
  • 1 cup water (240ml)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (28g)
  • salt

Method

  1. Boil ingredients until brittle when tried in cold water.
  2. Pour into hot buttered pan; pull when cool enough to handle.
