Lowney’s – New York Gingerbread

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup butter (165g)
  • 1½ cups flour (approx. 180g)
  • 5 eggs
  • 1-¾ cups powdered sugar (approx. 219g)
  • 1 tablespoon yellow ginger
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Method

  1. Cream butter; add flour.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and beat ten minutes.
  3. Bake in buttered bread pan forty-five to sixty minutes.
