Ingredients
- 1½ cups butter (337g)
- 2½ cups sugar (approx. 500g)
- 6 eggs
- 1 teaspoon soda
- ¼ cup milk (60ml)
- 3 teaspoons ginger
- 8 cups flour (approx. 960g)
Method
- Cream butter; add remaining ingredients. Spread quarter inch thick on buttered inverted dripping pan.
- Roll with creased rolling pin.
- Bake in quick oven (220°C, 425°F , Gas Mark 7, Fan 200°C).
- Cut in squares.
- Cool and keep in air-tight receptacles.
